2011 is an year of twists and turns – started with excitement, crossed disappointments, ended-up with few achievements. Its more of an year tested my composure/poise. For, it carried moments of joy, grief, dismay, anger, pain, emotion, belief and even disbelief.
But, the major part accounts to excitement and disappointment.
However, like every dark cloud has a Silver lining, I could fare well professionally, by the end. Though, on my personal front, there is nothing much, but, realization of some incredible truths about the people and their attitudes in general.
For a whilst - about 6 months, everything was a stand-still, void – seeing me nowhere in the neighbourhood of my aspirations vying out for some unpractical things, worrying for the Concerns and their governance that later tuned and turned me to more Spirituality. I appreciate for being so as it revealed how dedicated I can be, for the things my conscience directs to and for the Spiritual practices I made in the process. Be it a traditional/conventional worshipping (puja) or like a musical offering, I derive greater pleasure out of it. It helped me maintaining emotional balance as I see all kinds of people living their sufferings, highs and lows, while travelling a long distance (as far as 38+38 km to and fro a day) for my work daily.
Here is an incident to disclose in this aid.....a quick one....
We got to take a different route due to traffic diversion. Unlike the well-managed road I travel daily, we got to pass by a small lane loaded with slums only to see few kids bathing on the roads with a RIN soap (I say as the lather tells it is a detergent soap). I felt that Everyone is busy with their life, so is the POOR and the POVERTY !! I have no words for those kids, the so called “TOMORROW’s CITIZENS” !! :( :(
Ahh! painful and those were the moments that caught a pause, a void.
Hmm, back to my space, what might be the sort of aspirations you have, all you have to do is to acquire knowledge, improve your skill-set and execute it wisely. I started some in the lines of my passionate things like car-driving, music and of-course my fav. subject Finance(Stocks/Bonds/Securities so on) and could gain better learning, skills and understanding of the respects.
On the other hand, there were few situations that (effortlessly) revealed the nature, the extent a human-psychology can be. Nevertheless, it reminded us telling that human relations are very sensitive and are effective of personal conclusions/perceptions and one should give a thought to the entire context of the happening before arriving at any critical decisions.
Throughout the year, I observed that there is no harm if you are kind and considerate, able to forgive, can be bold, expressing/sharing your views or concerns to others. But, above all, being PRACTICAL is the order of the day. And that is the space everyone should occupy, signing off any presumptions, superficial or impractical things. Altogether, 2011 is an year of cocktail owing to certain observations, experiences, learning and the subtleties that left me with more challenges!!
